Leon Cooney is an accomplished boxer based in England. He began his amateur career at a young age, representing the West Wirral ABC Gym. During this time, he has won five regional amateur championships, as well as a national championship and a gold medal at the Tri Nation event. He has competed as a professional boxer with VIP Boxing since 2022. During his time as a professional boxer with the Liverpool-based outfit, Leon Cooney has established a perfect 5-0 record. He attributes his success to his strict dieting practices and active recovery efforts, which involve a series of low-intensity workouts following bouts and periods of more physically taxing training.

Leon Cooney completed sports studies in Birkenhead. When he is not boxing, he enjoys staying physically active by swimming and camping. He enjoys wild swimming throughout the United Kingdom. He also often spends his free time wild camping with his family at various remote camping sites throughout the country.
